My girlfriend from Naperville (yuppy burb of Chicago) who grew up in Schaumberg (burb of Chicago) seems to always act as though Milwaukee is a crappy city and that Chicago is the "cat's meow."

I don't completely disagree; I like Chicago quite a bit, but I don't dislike Milwaukee.

What cracks me up 'bout her attitude is that she never makes it to *real (downtown) Chicago because it is too big of a pain in the ass. Instead, she fights horrible traffic in the burbs and talks about how she loves Chicago so much.

When she comes to Milwaukee, we walk downtown from my apartment, have a nice meal, and head out to milwaukee-fun here>.

Besides that, I find it interesting that the Chicago Tribute article came out during the Cubs @ Brewers series. If you have never been the a Cubs @ Brewers game, they are quite fun. Cubs fans outflank Brewers fans like 3 to 1.
