Stuart was a mensch through and through. He and your mom were like grandparents to my Alex, even though they didn’t see each other that often. Alex helped Stuart take care of Tessa, accompanied him on errands, and just hung out together. As a kid, Alex didn’t warm up to that many people, but Stuart and your mom were exceptions. I’ll never forget that when my dad died and we were all in LA, Alex chose to stay with Stuart and Gail rather than with me. I loved and miss both of them so much.

This is wonderful Sandy. I never knew pretty much any of it, except the fact that Stuart was a kind and affectionate man. Thank you for telling his story.
It’s interesting- your very last sentence is exactly the same as what I wrote for my mother’s eulogy. We were and are the lucky ones.
