Eric, Thank you so much for including me on this esteemed list! I did enjoy working for Ebay and am very grateful I had that opportunity.

FYI, Chris Ferro and I actually were hired by PayPal rather than by Ebay. We worked for John Muller, who also enjoyed an impressively long career at PayPal, then Ebay, then back to PayPal again, before recently leaving to join Facebook. John is a soft-spoken hero, an exceptional lawyer and person, a great boss (for 6 years!!) and a true friend. I would like to nominate him for this list.

I can attest first hand to the quality of eBay’s early legal team. Top notch talent, sharp minds, and strategic thinkers. As one of the earliest big internet successes eBay had to tackle many of tech’s problems for the first time, and the solutions crafted at eBay shaped the way all the later internet companies approached similar challenges.
